New OCEANO song posted

I really don't like this band. I saw a video off their older album and the mix wasn't bad but this is shite.

On a side note, I really like the new Black Veil Brides song & video "Perfect Weapon"

This is hilarious. Again I read a thread with you guys complaining about a song, and I end up loving it. Parkway Drive, Cephalic Carnage, and now this.

I like the 1st Oceano album, but I've always thought they would sound good with a Tue Madsen-type sound and to me that's kinda what this sounds like. It's a perfect fit for the band. Very artistic-- the intro is gorgeous. But it doesn't sound like 10000 other metal albums so of course it will kick up a shitstorm here.

Before I listen to it, here is my prediction:
Breakdown, 3 note riff with blast beat, breakdown, 3 note riff with blast beat, breakdown, breakdown, really slow breakdown (OH THERE IT IS!!!) and lots of bass drops along the way.

Now I will listen to it.

And I wish I didn't, this is terrible IMO. I actually kind of liked their last album in a way. Not to mention the production on this is nowhere near Depths.

I'm indifferent to the music. Could take it or leave it. The mix is ok, but Joey's production is what made me want to listen to Depths. Can only take so much " jugata jugata, dunnn dunnnnnn."

I checked out some of their studio diary vids - some of the tunes seem cool. This is OK... not the best mix, but I love this dudes vocals.

+1. Yeah, without the surreal ambiance, rhythmic stops & reverse snare bombs they are just another run-of-the-mill deathcore band.

the longer i've been doing this job, the less i like Zuess' mixes. I actually dig the snare on this mix(for once), but everything else is too muddy.
And +1 on the weird low end.

same way, Zuess' stuff gets really boring.
like he doesnt throw the cool shit in an album to make me want to listen to the whole thing front to back. I usually get about 4 songs in and go "OK I heard this already and I know the rest of the album will be the same"

Agreed about Zuess... most of the time, anyways... The newest Acacia Strain album sounds surprisingly good.
