New Panzer Foto

Haha, I'm sure that wasn't his intention, but Harry looks like he might be an extra member for The Cure or Depeche Mode in that picture. What happened to always looking Metal-as-fuck, Harry? ;)

I hate the "metalhead" mentality...
It's such a joke.

Hey, Harry was the one who gleefully brandished the Metal look, so of course people are going to speculate about it when a new picture comes out of him wearing black nail polish and a ring that looks like it was purchased from the nearest hot topic.

It's all in good fun though, it's not like this will ever change my outlook on the band. These guys have made some of my favourite music of all.

Harry has a variety of looks. He's appeared live in everything from jeans/t-shirts to full on spikes and leather. In some of the Titan Force photos he wore cowboy chaps and had bleach blonde hair. He's had waist length hair and he's had a crewcut.

Please take off the foto from the new site.It is not metal. And it is depressing seeing Harry look like a nu singer.

Jag Panzer rule dammit.
Hey Phaethon,
Your right Harry does look a little nu-metal, but who cares. The cool thing about Harry is he will try any look whithout worrying about what others think, because he knows that the look does not define him.

Personally I think these photo's are the best we have ever done. It has been funny in the past pictures, when I am wearing skater pants, Mark in jeans and T, John in a tie die, Rikard wearing casual, and Harry in full Metal dress. In these pictures we now look like we are in the same band.

We knew we were going to get some odd comments about these photo's, but didn't care, because all you have to do is listen to our music to know what trully defines us.
Take Care, Chris.

I think i made it obvious that i was not making a comment regarding music. Jag Panzer have always been my point of reference for USA Power Metal. Always. I think Jean-Pierre made clear something:

"Hey, Harry was the one who gleefully brandished the Metal look"

We are talking about Harry "The tyrant" here, not of Warrel Dane, and in this foto he doesn't look very much like a tyrant.

What Chris said is right, but i ask you something. I have all Jag Panzer albums (besides Dissident Alliance). They are Metal. The music is Heavy Metal. This foto has nothing to do with metal. So why use another look?

About the "metalhead" thing. We "metalheads" support our bands. Travel miles to watch a live. We are loyal to our bands as our bands are loyal to the cause. We support our bands when all other "metal" fans read Kerrang! or Hammer and follow grunge, punk or nu,depending on the era's flow. We dont. We buy Panzer albums in cd,lp,tape, the dvd,the t-shirts.I dont see much a joke in all this.

I love the new tracks. They are metal. This foto is not.So, GIVE HARRY SOME CHAINS.

The look doesn't define a man, that's so true, but nu styling doesn't fit at all in Panzer kind of band... I'm European and after all those American bands turning their backs on metal and riding the nu wave even the tiniest thing scares me, in this case Harry's black nail polish and some other details... :err:

Personally I think these photo's are the best we have ever done.

From technical standpoint, absolutely!
But one glance at your photo would leave me an impression of another aspiring nu band, solely because of Harry's style, he dominates the pic, after all...

Panzer is among my most favorite bands, so don't get this as bashing, just a comment...

Heh, the one on the front of the site. It isn't really a big deal at all, but we're all raving about it like rabid fanboys.

EDIT: Pantheon, your comment on the "metalhead" thing is absolutely right. This bands music is the reason I'm willing to travel distances to see them, and to support them in any way possible (while not that beneficial to them, I'm also willing to shell out a good wad of cash for an original Ample Destruction LP ;) ).

Jean-Pierre,i think you can find the vinil on ebay no big deal,it isnt that rare.I got my copy about 10 years ago and my connections are poor now,i cant help you with that.
These damn record collectors suck the blood of people who love the bands and sound vinil.

I'm working on achieving one of the test pressings of Ample Destruction from Ebay as we speak.

I really wish I could find the Metalcore reissue of Ample on cd, that cover is so badass that it hurts. :D

I have to warn you that the preludium before Reign of the tyrants is missing and the sound is faster on the Metalcore reissue. The guy on the cover is Elric. A not very nice reissue in anyway, maybe you should check for the Metal Blade ones.

Ah, the Metal Blade one with the grey cover? I almost attained that one, but some fool outbid me at the last second. It was still sealed as well, a pretty good find.

EDIT: I'm guessing that this is Elric? -

Pretty badass, but I trust you in saying that the Metalcore rerelease isn't very good. So I take it that the Metalblade reissue has the best overall sound cd-wise?

Yes,if you want the original album it is better the Metal Blade version. I think there are other 2 bootleg versions too.
That's Elric of Melnibone',painted by Michael Whelan, excellent paint, the Metalcore version is much more "primitive"...
