So it turns out i'm going to be mixing my bands album from my home rig .

This is all well and good, except my cpu just aint gonna hack it,

its a amd sempron 1.8... old yeah!!

so she needs an upgrade to something really meaty that can handle a very high track and plug in count.

I'm running tools LE on pc (xp) with a 002; any reccomendations? english prices please

I'd say go with the highest upgrade possible that is compatible with whatever your motherboard can handle. As you're working off an old Sempron you may be severely limited due to whatever socket type the motherboard in your system is. That's the first part of the equation you need to look into IMO.

yeah, i thought theat might be the case!!
well new motherboard it is too then
!!
lol
any furhter recommerndations

You'll need a new processor to go with that. And if you're upgrading to one of the newer AMD boards, you'll need new RAM.

Yep. I just built a new media machine for the living room last week with a combination of a few components I had laying about and some new stuff (processor, monitor, hard drive, inputs, etc). Luckily I had a not so old spare motherboard and compatible RAM to start with otherwise it would have been a very costly job.
