I do love the production on the last RF album, Bergstrand did it, and it has his signature sound. Bass is incredible, scooped but so fat, guitars are crunchy as hell, really love the way they are big but smooth.
And the drums are natural with cool roomy ambience as always.
The mix is very compact and vibey, this guys rule !

IMO songs don't compete with early RF stuff but are better than their previous album.

Sound is getting better and better!

Check out Between Demons with Gustaf Jorde (Ex-Defleshed) on guest vocals and Get this Right from their last album if you don't know the band:

I love some of the older stuff (Ignoring the Guidelines and Sound of the Republic \o/), and there's definitely nothing wrong with the new album, but somehow it just didn't catch my interest in any way. The production is great, the songs are ok, but I just feel too much like I've heard this all before. Maybe my opinion will change after a couple more listens, though.

I've seen them 2 weeks ago. second time in my life and I must say I hate the fact the singer can't keep up. but I still love all of their albums.

dunno, i actually liked the production better on the album before, sound of the republic. bergstrand's works with raised fist are, in my opinion, his best efforts :) on the sound of the republic he really achieved an insane sound, with a very interesting drum sound (it always seemed to me he wanted to achieve this sound on all his other works :D ), creamy guitars'n'stuff, absurd tightness of the whole mix, but just the sheer sonic quality still blows me away (i mean, can you hear the details in those cymbals!? :OMG: ). as i recall he even did the mastering for that album as well.

raised fist-wise, i really dislike the new album, could've disliked the album before but listening to the production i eventually got into the pop sensibilities of it, so i can say it's really bad :) however, they kinda grew worse with each album since the beginning :goggly:
