Waaaaaaay more uptempo than previous stuff, which is a surprise. This almost sounds more like Hallucinogen. Either way, it rules!

edit: I take it back, it doesn't rule as much now that the initial excitement is gone. It's decent psy-trance but I'm just not really into that stuff.

They played with Infected Mushroom at the Warfield here a while back but I didn't go because it was $50 and filled with fucking ravers (hate ravers).

On the topic though I don't dig that new song at all; what made me enjoy them was just the weirdness and uniqueness in each song that they had going and just the weird feelings and emotions each song brought up.



I really like this song by them, every time I listen to it it connects me to the memory of lying on my bed exploring my mind in a totally open state just letting the pulses and sounds fly through my mind causing odd little pictures and feelings switching back and forth yet staying in the same realm of unfamiliarity yet content with it.

tl;dr I'm a fucking hippy when it comes to this band and this new song is a huge bummer compared to their other stuff.

Completely geshtonkenflupped.

I love that creepy voice at the beginning so much, and the huge groove it eventually goes into. So awesome. That was the first album I ever heard from them and I was absolutely out of my mind at the time. I just remember it sounding sooooo weird but so perfect as well and it all wrapped around me like a big puffy warm blanket and my whole body was one giant ear as I floated through hyperspace to the exotic rhythms and sonic trickeries. I've been crazy about them since. There is no other music in the world like this.

Same I really love them, the only thing I hate is my druggie friends who are like YEAH I LIKE THEM BUT ONLY WHEN I'M ON ACID OTHERWISE THEY JUST KINDA SUCK THEY'RE GOOD FOR TRIPPING THO BRAH. I'm not denying it's interesting to listen to in different and altered states but I enjoy listening to it just regularly as chill out music or just to listen to all the small little odd quirks and parts in it that are all put together. I never even mention the band to anyone I know because it always just instantly turns into a SO THIS ONE TIME I WAS TRIPPING BALLS BEYOND BALLS WHEN... story (which I have heard more than enough of haha)

buuuuut i must admit the first time i really connected with them i was frying balls out in the woods and it was blaring out of the main cabin/lodge thing up on this ranch, and i was staring into the fire and WOAH BRAH

Yeah I'm not denying that, the connection you can get to songs while tripping hella fat (especially their songs) is obviously intense but the people who I talk to literally won't listen to it unless they're tripping and say that it sucks if you're not tripping and then like I said, they go into the "i was tripping balls when..." story.
