The ballad thread.

Wow! Never thought I would see somebody praising some "new" BJ songs... that's a cool one, but I'd say my favorite BJ ballad is "WILD IS THE WIND!" :worship:

I love a lot of Bon Jovi and yeah Wild Is The Wind is another favourite of mine but I Want You has been in my head for days now so I just had to post it :D

I love all BJ ballads... including the extra extra cheesy ones on the debut s/t and 7800 degrees farenheit

Boston: A man I'll never be... lovely ballad!Listening to it right now at work :headbang:

Hey Hawk, nice to see you posting I almost was about to call you MIA.

Nice of you to notice. Yea I have been busy with a few other things. But I am back full force again.

Lets mention one that I consider to be the mother of metal ballads.

Judas Priest - Beyond The Realms Of Death!

Kamelot... "Abandoned" Holy mother of Eddie that song is touching, the way Khan delivers it brings tears to my eyes :OMG:

Agreed! I love that song!

I so want to get my hands on those Conception albums now! :erk:

Another great ballad... Steel Prophet "Burning into Blackness" :worship: it's so full of emotion and I love the time changes, solo, lyrics, everything about it is primo primo :p

On the "rock" end of things I have been listening to selct tracks from Poison...
I won't Forget You...
Something to Believe In...
Every Rose Has it's Thorn...
Stand...
Life Goes On...
Lay Your Body Down...
Fire & Ice...
Overall the band is "fluff," Bret Michaels IS a great song writer if he
really wants to be. C.C. IS a sloppy player, but Ritchie Kotzen brought some
credibility to the band, as did Blues Sareceno.
Just DONT Call them METAL!

"Always Somewhere" Scorps.
One of the best songs ever recorded.

"When a Blind Man Cries" Deep Purple.
Gorgeous, glorius tune.

"Born In '58" Bruce D.
This song just wreaks of honest emotion!

"Melissa" Mercyful Fate.
Simply the best tune the King has ever appeared on.

"One More Fucking Time" Motorhead
Those who think Motorhead is "noise" need to hear this gem.

"Omnio" In the Woods
Progressive masterpiece!

"Feel So Low" Porcupine Tree
The best of the best new band!

"One Last Goodbye" Anathema
Roger Waters eat your heart out!

"Sand and Mercury" the Gathering.
Best - vocals - ever.

Poison :headbang: I've been meaning to put my picks from them up for ages and just hadn't managed it yet. I didn't expect to get beaten to it except maybe by Trixx but haven't seen him round here in a while?? Maybe I'm just not reading the right threads? anyway Richie Kotzen I have to say even though the Native Tongue album had some good songs on it and some great ballads to me it's too different to the rest of Poisons stuff for me to look at it in the same way but each to their own. I like your choices but I have a few of my own to add to the list :)
Theatre Of The Soul (Surprised you didn't mention this one)
Only Time Will Tell
Ride The Wind (not sure it classes as a ballad but it's an awesome song nevertheless)
