I´ll gladly oblige:

Gåte - "Sjåaren" and "Gjendines bånsull"
Kari Rueslåtten - "Forsaken", "Dead", "Agatha" and "Som av meg"
Kari Bremnes - "Dagen"
Kate Bush - "The Fog", "The Song Of Solomon"
Tom Russell and Dolores Keane - "Dreamin´"
Tom Russell and Iris DeMent - "Love Abides"

@SavaRon and Wyvern: "Space Dye Vest" is indeed an excellent song!

Non metal? Easy a cake, piece of pie.

Joan Baez - 'Diamonds And Rust' :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:
Yes - 'Turn Of The Century'
Pink Floyd - 'A Great Day For Freedom'
Johnny Mandel - 'Suicide Is Painless'
King Crimson - 'Epitaph'

to mention just a few I can recall right now

I saw Kamelot mentioned and that reminded me of Ne Pleure Pas, the french version of the ballad Don't You Cry, from the album Karma (it was a bonus song on the U.S. version). Khan's vocals are Godly on that song and the french lyrics really fit the melody much better than the English.

Definitely like the French version better than the English. It just kills.

I played Ne Pluere Pas for a girl last summer and she broke into tears. Then she jumped my bones.

Not saying you'll get the same results, but it worked for me. :p

That's because it's in French, the language of love. ;)

I prefer-Eric Clapton's "Old Love" :D

Oh yeah! I prefer the "24 Nights" version. That whole second disc is perfect rainy afternoon mood music -- Pretending, Bad Love, Old Love, Wonderful Tonight, Bell Bottom Blues...

Niceeeeeee :)

I was listening to Heart yesterday and they have plenty'o good ballads IMO, "I want your world to turn", "Alone"... etc

Empty Rooms - Gary Moore I've only just discovered this one and it was on a disc that was burned for me by a friend so I had to seach the net to find out who it was.
Stay With Me - Bret Michaels I was decorating when I first heard this song had the album on as background music wasn't really listening to it but this track just stood out. It got about halfway through and I had to stop and really listen to it. It really grabbed me and moved me somehow.

If I Go Away

Somewhere on that long lonely road
We all stand alone
Looking for clues
From our different views

In the dark I've called out your name
It echoes in vain
Over again
In an empty room

If I go away
What would still remain of me
The ghost within your eyes
The whisper in your sighs
You see
Believe
And I'm always there

Staring down a long empty hall
Pictures on walls
All with your name
But it's not the same

Searching for the chord I can't hear
Been searching for years
It's somewhere inside
But it's well disguised

If I go away
What would still remain of me
The ghost within your eyes
The whisper in your sighs
You see
Believe
And I'm always there

Someday I'll take a chance
You find them where you can
They tend to slip away
Those doors to yesterday

Forever is a long time they say
Maybe some day
I'll meet you there
If you've time to spare
Tell me then
Where I can go
Where they won't know
Who I have been
Can we start again

And if I go away
What would still remain of me
The ghost within your eyes
The whisper in your sighs
You see
Believe
And I'm always there
