Has anyone here heard the new Slayer cd? If so what do you think???:headbang:

So can we have some serious discussion about the new Slayer? If you do not have more to add this the above drivel, how about staying out of this thread.

I did add my serious comment. I thought it was "bleh". In other words, nothing special. I thought it wasn't up to what they all said it'd be. In fact, I'm not sure if I like it better than God Hates Us All, which wasn't very good.

However, I am willing to give it another chance. I only heard the whole thing once.

And no need to tell people to stay out of this thread, for you don't own it. How about dropping the attitude? =)

I have only heard the new song "Cult" which I really did enjoy.
I am still debating whether or not to buy the new one.
There are SO many new releases coming out in the next few months that I am much more interested in. We'll see.....

Exactly. I for one had high hopes for Slayer, but so far it disappointed me. Cult is not a bad song. However, I wanted the whole album to be even with the song, or better, which I didn't think it was the case.

The cd rocks, and sounds like at times a mix of SITA and DI. The cd overall is better than GHUA. I have only listened to it twice, but it sounds great to these ears.

I have a hard time taking Slayer Seriously. I saw them back in the day with Wasp and Raven. The singer was talking about a song they were about to sing about his dead girlfriend. I believe the name of the song was Necrophilia. He said when he ate her out he could feel the maggots crunching between his teeth.

My interest in that band quickly faded.:puke: :loco:

I just read a review saying that it was a pretty good record overall. Sadly, I really have no real interest in this album. I am looking forward to hearing it in it's entirety when it does come out, but I already know what to expect. There is nothing out of the ordinary about a Slayer record. Cult wasn't even that strong of a song to start off with.
