Crusader: ZZ top????????????????????????? EEEWwwwwww! Stained DOUBLE EWWWWWW! G-N-R has been dead for years! I am talking about new up and coming bands that are breaking.
Europe is brimming with new talent that isnt seen here in the US.Its like old school metal is over here. All the new shit here is so bubble-gum ,it makes me wanna puke!They are so poppy and so fricken happy,its like watching leave it to beaver on MTV or VH1!!! Lame-O! Bands Like ,In flames ,Lacuna Coil, Dimmu Borgir,Arch Enemy,Soilwork,Sentenced,etc are amazing bands that a very few people here know about.I am not talking mainstream radio-crap that they brainwash us with. We wont probably see these bands live here because they arnt played on the radio...aint that a bitch! I would love to see all these bands. We have seen Arch Enemy and In Flames,because they are touring with other bands but we had to travel.
And Metallica was THE metal band but now.....we will see with the new cd.They are touring with Limp BIZ-cunt and Linkin Park(whom I like) Which is totally wrong..trying to bring in the trendy kids instead of the true metal fans. I would like to see Metallica with In Flames, Iced Earth and Saxon,but that will never happen!!!

Have you heard of them? They are touring the States at the mo. I'm trying to get a couple of tracks off WinMX as we speak. I will have a see if they are playing near you.

They are playing the Huntridge Theater in Las Vegas tomorow night (2/24/03). Also on the bill ......Hate Eternal, Dying Fetus and Kataclysm. Some of the bands sound a mite Death ....but

And MTV....the only damn music they're broadcasting is r&b, hiphop and.....? Every time I take a look at MTV I see Eminem or Jennifer lopez....and one day they even had "J-Lo Day"
"Music TeleVision" huh? Sure, when they never even show us a maiden video on that frikk'n channel. But to my rescue i have a swedish channel who broadcasts a rock hour on sunday nights.
Same is on the radio, on friday it's a rock hour, but on the regular hours, it is just that r&b and pop.... is the radiopeople afraid to broadcast real music? written by the artist? The whole music radio and televison is corrupt if you ask me!

@ Crusader - yeah its not better down here, we have MTV europe which is crap, all r&b, rap etc. though we have some 'rockprogram' if you consider SlipSnot as rock or music.
luckily we have this dutch radiostation called 'arrow classic rock'

purgatori - I have listened to a couple of tracks by Into Eternity and they rock .....definite power metal vibe ...heavy.....progressive in places ...difficult to describe really...but well worth checking out live I would say!! Needless to say I will be ordering their album this afternoon.

i have MTV Nordic. Sometimes VH1 shows David Bowie, and i think they have a rockprogram too.
Even when MTV shows good music (extremely rare!) they allways have a break (at least 5 minutes long) after every one or two songs! It is so annoying i can't stand to watch it. lol, the only good show on mtv is probably Jackass!

At least we have MuchMusic on the sattellite dish and a show called Uranium!!! It is all metal!!! Very cool host called Julianna!
We have DMX or Musicchoice on the sattellite also.All metal no commercials! Find new bands there all the time!
Yeah,the death metal show here was cool according to my boyfriend who went and had a blast! I was sick,but that stuff is a lil hard-core for me,anyway.He loves the shit! He said the best band was Kataclysm. The worst was Hate Eternal.He said 350 people showed up on a monday nite to that show! That is a very good sign in this town! I hope Iced Earth will come this fall!!!

I love Disturbed,but the new cd isnt as good as the first.His vocal style is cool,but I really love good clean vocal style and not so cookie monsterish...hehehe!I guess I just love old school metal..I cant get enough Priest ,Saxon, or Old Q-ryche,and Maiden! My new fave singer is Matt Barlow form I.E. He is amazing live and on cd!My boyfriend gets mad at me becuse I always keep reaching for the same cds....he has over 1500 cds and he's slowly getting me into the newer stuff.(In flames,Sentenced ,Lacuna coil.)
Would you guys consider Type-O-Negative metall?? We LOVE them too. Seen them at least 5 times! If it ROCKS and makes me bang my head ,I like it!!!!

I know, they're not really metal, but I like them anyway, they're very original. I can enjoy rap and hiphop too.
I (think I) have musicchioce too, that's the one it's radiotv? nevertheless, i have two channels, "rock" and "classic rock", the screen is black and it just sounds.
