So I found this track that I wrote probably a year or so ago. I am guessing this is from when I went through a big cancer scare in my life and I guess I was pondering what I would do or what would happen if I indeed did have cancer. Anyways enough of that sappy shit.

I need to retrack the heavy guitars but I will worry with that later. Its just cool to hear old stuff you have written sometimes.

I like guitar tone(its 5150-mesa standart cab?), bass is ok, cymbals are way too loud i think,
I`m berely hear kick, snare is ok,but i think it needs to be deeper in mix, toms are wierd, looks like direct signal way too silent

sorry for my english :)

Not digging that weird slapback delay on the kick, and the OH's are a bit loud but this is cool. Great guitar tone too Kyle :D

Yeah I am not a huge fan of the recording myself. Like I said its like a year or so old. Just found it on my hard drive last night and was like "dang havent heard this in ages." haha But yeah the reverb on the kick does create like a weird slapback thing going on and OHs are def way too loud. I will probably retrack and remix it all sometime in the near future.

Digging it, music wise.

Interesting ideas. Has a filmic feel to it.

I like the idea of the slapback on the kick although I don't think it's executed right. But a good idea. In my opinion - people should experiment more with ideas like this.

But it has a good atmosphere to it... Nice to hear somebody do something outside the box.

Would love to hear a newer improved version of it.

Edit: Forgot to mention the term "80's" when describing the feel of this song. Totally has an 80's rock film score sound. Reminds me in parts of the Lost Boys... Also has a shine to it that reminds me of Michael Mann's Collateral and Heat.

I updated the link. Got rid of that reverb on the kick that was adding that strange slapback effect. I am gonna try and retrack everything this week and see if I can't get the mix sounding more up-to-date. I hate how overly bright the guitars seem at times.
