New User, New Song...

Hello,

I'm new here. I've just been trying to aquaint myself with Pro Tools 8. This is the first rough mix of a song I've been working on with my band. It's not metal, it's a modern rock song I guess.

Anyway, any comments, suggestions etc are welcome.

I'll give you a quick run down on the track

Drums are Sneap Samples.

I used the following mics

SM57's on the snare and toms
D112 on the kick
Studio Projects B1 on the hats
C1000's Overhead

Bass was DI'd with a Sansamp

Guitars were recorded with SM57's. Amps used were Marshall JCM900 SL-X, Orange AD30, Marshall DSL50 and a Fender Pro Reverb

hmm...I dont have problems with soundclick right now
So, I like kick tone, snare - dont like it tone, too boxy, I think,and it needs to be deeper in mix and kick too, bass tone not bad, guitar tone too thin for me, maby more in youre face sound wil be nice, HH needs less room, i think,cymbals are note bad,but sometime its too have too much room in it

Cheers guys, I'm not overly sure about the kick drum, I think it's a bit thin sounding. The snare likewise.

I like the bass tone though.

Soundclick seems to be working ok for me
