I love Mikael's vocals and it sucks to hear that he will not be continuing with this project. I look forward to hearing who his replacement is... I just hope it's Dan Swano with Blakkheim on backing vox :D that'd make for a fun combination

has mikael confirmed this?

I dunno, they(meaning mikael and swano) also said they wouldnt continue with this after RTC,now I heard they may do another,I dont see why mikael wouldnt be the natural canidate.

It's pretty much all business as Mike is concerned, or so Swanö has said at least. It didn't seem like he was too interested of Bloodbath being anything else but a band with friends in the first place anyway.
I don't think Dan's going to be the singer since they didn't announce the name yet...Swanö will just be the guitarist. Maybe Dan got tired of being called "the drummer for Bloodbath" in interviews and decided that he needed an instrument-change. :D

I think its a bit stupid to say that "its all buisness as far as mike is concerned".Its not like he's turned in to a tyrant with the success of Opeth.I just think that he did se Bloodbath as a cool side-project with some of his friends.I mean he didn't contribute anything to the album other than his voice anyway. The whole album was the creation of the other three.

It's not that Mike's turned into anything, it's just that Music For Nations is a bunch of money-hungry bastards (and on the other hand they won't bother paying for the old songs for the DVD). So fuck them.
Like I said,Mike wasn't much interested in Bloodbath other than having fun anyway, I'll give you that.

Swano said on his forum that Mike wrote a bunch of killer riffs for Bloodbath. Dunno if he was talking EP or album though.
Maybe EP.Cos i was talking to Mike after an opeth show. And he said that all he did on that album was lend his voice, and that he didnt even write any lyrics.I thought he wrote guitar parts too until he told me that.

But i mean its not like he's gonna tell me exactly everything he did on the album anyway,so it is possible.

Hi

All Mike did on RTC was sing (he did all the tracks in 13 hrs straight!!!!) and wrote the line "Know me as the Soulcollector". He's still the best growler in the world and a part of me will never fully accept that he won't sing on the next album...but life goes on...

Dan

You said it Dan, it won't be the same without him. Why do you guys have to be bastards and keep us in suspense over the new singer/drummer?!?!?!

My thoughts exactly.I know for a fact that im gonna love the new album, but ill be wishing that its mike on vox.

Yeah Dan, the Bloodbath material is strong thats what counts, even if you have only one orginal member it will be Bloodbath still, the material speaks for itself, and I forsaw lots of success before now knowing this band wants to become a live act sometime and not just a project. Yeah Mike gots one of the best Death vocals of this century, but as long as the material is said with the same kind of feeling, it should all be good. You got full on support from Vehemence and from my side of the country Westcoast U.S.A.
