Newest Bury Your Dead

Bloodjin said it, sounds like sevendust at times . I like a couple of tracks a lot, but only a couple, is always the same with this type of bands for me, they got kickass songs , but not memorable records , im the only one who thinks like this?
In First listen i thought " oh no..... another perfect soundtrack for a gay porn movie" `but it dont. They pull off some nice riffs.
Huge change from cover your tracks for sure.

for anyone that got the cd can anyone tell me who prod, engineer, mix, and mastered it???

heard conflicting things can't get an answer on web and haven't had a chance to pick it up yet. it says seucof on wikipedia but i'm not sure i've heard otherwise.

I never cared for this band until their last cd. I'm glad they expanded on it a bit with more singing and layering in some guitars.

Yeah, I'm kinda liking it but the vocals do sound really processed.

Steve

What? There's no more going on with his vocals then any other band in the genre. Hell, doesn't even sound like his singing was tuned.

I talked to Bubble after a show in Illinois a couple weeks ago, he said they did it at a buddies place somewhere... He said they didn't want to go through all that studio stuff again and wanted to keep it simple and raw.

But bleh, he also promised me it would be better than the Self-titled and heavier... :Smug:

I want them to go back like they were on Cover Your Tracks

Yeah that's good shit. That album was like 2 months from release when I saw them live the first time.

It was awesome, it was in this shitty little dive of a practice space. The room was rated for 40 people .

There was easily 100 in there.

The whole time I was thinking "yep if there is a fire I am burning."

But that shit doesn't seem to happen as much anymore for some reason. All the venues around here got ghey about that shit.

Bury your dead WAS great. For me the one and only bury your dead is this:

All newer albums are SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

they lost their balls in the pit:)

I think when a band goes through as many lineup changes as this band has, it's kinda hard to yearn for them to go back to their old style...Just ain't gonna happen.

It's not like their old style was Dream Theater or anything.

Chug bands are a dime a dozen round here, they could've easily found some dudes that knew the deal.

They cleary wanted to switch styles, which is cool, just a lot of the old school fans will not like it as seen in this very thread.

I don't know enough about them to really know...it just seems like I'm constantly reading about lineup changes in that band.

Checked out the songs on Myspace...Most of them start like thier old ones, just more boring...And then those "big" sung choruses...snoozefest

Yeah its a good point with the lineup changes!!!!
But i think the new songs are weak as shit!!!!!!!!!!!!
never heard a so boring Sevendust rip of.
And BURY YOUR DEAD was a MOSH-institution!!!!!
Now they are doing new metal catchy-KoRn fan music.

I dont get it, so many bands rip of the old bury your dead, why the real bury your dead doesnt rip themselve of;)
