Even academy award winning movies can be told if they're fake or not, like Forrest Gump for example. The producers did a fantastic job, but you can still tell. And like I said maybe not the common person, but a specialist in this area surely could. Otherwise, fake videos would make the news every single day!

There are stuff done so well that are marked as 'inconclusive' by analysis experts - specially some UFO videos(which are very easy to fake) and I bet some of the inconclusive ones are fakes.
