Many of their songs sound the same Some of their lyrics would be embarrassing for a high school band. Those are two pretty common and legitimate reasons why people hate them. Add the normal reasons (taste/jealousy/etc) and it's tough to not understand why people dislike them.
I give them credit for having great productions, a (seemly) good attitude, and being the last rock band to get stadium tour big. But I personally find their music intolerable.

people hate them because they are the definition of COCK ROCK. i actually dont understand why so many people like them on this forum. their production isnt even that great. it doesnt even sound like rock music anymore cause everything sounds so synthetic. Rock should have an element of rawness to it and their productions are so pristine that its just fuckin lame. IMO

Yeah I don't get the cock sucking on this forum either, they are a really lame band. I think the hatred for them is a little rough though, they aren't THAT bad.
