Can anyone confirm this? A British friend was telling me that Before Nicko was in Maiden, he was the guy wearing the Eddie costume on stage during the Beast on the road tour! Is this true??

I think I remember hearing that Nicko filled in for Clive a couple of times when he was ill or something and wore an Eddie mask while doing so. Something like that anyway. Again, I think that was on one of their documentaries too.
That's a good question to ask Nicko. Catch him at his BBQ rib joint "Rock-N-Roll Ribs" in Florida, or at least try to. I've been there 4-5 times now. Apparently he stops in often when he's not on tour. The staff there says his son is just as much of a riot as Nicko and he shows up even more. I haven't seen either. But, if anything, the place is cool and the ribs are freggin tasty! Back to the topic question, I thought Nicko was playing for another band (making it impossible for do this) during the time Clive was playing with Maiden.
