Nicko's Project

Dec 30: Another piece in the Spitz/McBrain puzzle

As reported some months ago, former Anthrax guitarist Dan Spitz has teamed up with Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain for an unnamed project.

In a new revelation, the pair have been joined by ex Megadeth bass player Dave Ellefson, who is believed to be laying down bass tracks in the new year.

The music has been described as extremely heavy, and it is unknown who will perform the vocals on the album, or who will release it. But time, reveals all!

I wonder if Nicko has had anything to do with the songwriting...

And as far as it being extremely heavy goes,

Oh and While I've got your attention and I feel like talking about megadeth David Ellefson and Jimmy DeGrasso are touring with Marty for his new album music for Speeding.

This got me to thinking - if this project was somewhat successful and Nicko decided to concentrate on it full-time, who do you think Steve would get to replace him in Maiden? Any suggestions?

Nicko's skill and style is far superior to Clive Burr's IMO. Nicko is one of the most talented drummers in the world and although i like the albums Clive played on his style was always too stiff and predictable

On the Megadeth front, I think they should just reform, and have Dave do vocals with Marty and Al on guitar, at least till Dave's arm gets better...

I think that thing about Daves arm was kind of just an excuse, im not saying he didnt have problems, but it seems to me that he had to get away from the whole music industry for a while and that seemed like the best thing to offer as an excuse, but he will bring Megadeth back when he is refreshed and happier, and hopefully make a great album aslong with it :D
