It got an awesome review in this month's Power Play -- never been that keen on them, but maybe I'll download some tracks and check this new one out 
Do Nightwish actually rock though? I thought they were reallybeyondairyfairypowermetal?

I have "Oceanborn", great album. Just think of the "Diva" scene from "The Fifth Element", but METAL. I haven't heard any of their other stuff though.

The first album is nowhere near as good as the others imo. It still has some great songs though. Get Oceanborn spawn and listen to that its great.
Century Child is awesome - bought it a couple of weeks ago. These guys are just getting better with every album! There's much more male vocals on this one too - Marco(? The bassplayer) has improved a squillion since Angels fall First & Oceanborn - the duelling between him & Tarja is very powerful. Musically the album is a lot heavier than the older albums too. Track 5, Slaying the Dreamer....
Do yourselves an ear-opener of a favour boys & girls - get this album!

Nightwish was mentioned in Brisbane's Courier Mail a few months back. Every Friday they have the top ten albums from a different country, and one week they had Finland, so of course Nightwish was there.
Check out their version of 'Phantom of the Opera' from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. Muahahahaha.

My Impaled Nazarene cd does that. Some record companies put copy protection on cd's that bars them from playing on cd players that can copy the cd's, even though it fucks up on some and won't let you play them in your car.

Well it's a fucking pain in the arse! The cd player in my stereo shat it self a couple of weeks ago so I'm now playing CDs via the computer...
I guess I'll have to get the stereo fixed sooner or later...
