OVERKILL, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, EXCITER Confirmed For New Jersey's MARCH METAL MELTDOWN 5 Festival - Jan. 13, 2003

OVERKILL, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, EXCITER, SINNER, GRAVE and DARKANE are among the artists that have been confirmed to appear at this year's March Metal Meltdown 5 festival, set to take place Mar. 7-8 at The Cricket Club in Irvington, New Jersey.

MarketYourMusic.com has apparently been authorized by promoter Jack Koshick to release a partial list of confirmed national headlining acts for the event, the tickets for which officially went on sale this past Saturday (Jan. 11) via all Ticketmaster outlets.

The following is a list of bands (in alphabetical order) that have so far been "confirmed" to appear at March Metal Meltdown 5:

ALL THAT REMAINS
BEHEMOTH
BLOODSTORM
BUDGIE
DARKANE
DAVE BROCKIE EXPERIENCE
DIVINE EMPIRE
DOG FASHION DISCO
EXCITER
GOATWHORE
GOD AWFUL
GRAVE
IMPALER

NUCLEAR ASSAULT
OBSCENITY
OVERKILL
PYREXIA
SEVEN WITCHES
SINNER
SLEEZE BEES
SPEARHEAD
STATUS QUO
THUNDERCORE
WITHERED EARTH
YAKUZA
ZANDELLE

More acts will be announced soon.

Looks awesome!

They just keep adding great bands; now I only hope the curse of Koshick doesn't prevent this from being as great as it could be...

Friday, March 7:
Grave
God Dethroned
Darkane
...more

Saturday, March 8:
Nile
Overkill
Nuclear Assault
All That Remains
Carnal Forge
Impaler
Blaze

Sunday, March 9:
Deicide
Amon Amarth
Behemoth
Vehemence
Symphony X
Rotting Christ
Seven Witches

Beyond The Embrace was just added as well, though I don't know which day they'll be playing. Zandelle will be there, Rune, Exit To Eternity & Beyond The Flesh (2 locals), and about another 40 bands or so...The lineup is kick-ass this year!

Unfortunately the whole thing is in the Ghetto and I got an hotel room near the damn airport. How much traffic do you expect in this area for friday and sat?

Yeah, I've told people to be careful about the area. It's real close to some not-so-nice places.

As for traffic? Muwahahahahahahaha! Um, bad.

Where you from? So I can get an idea of what you're used to.

Um, okay. Well in that case. Bad. Very bad. It could often take 1+ hours to travel less than 5 miles. But that's worst case scenario, and only really around rush hour (between 4 PM-7 PM) on Friday night. We should miss most of it since the show will have started by then. Saturday should be fine.
