no no no, BAD TIMO TOLKKI no no no no no no no! (new Strato singer)

Thats completely different, size has nothing to do with style or attitude. Having a constant angry face while giving the finger or playing with fake blood usually doesn't describe the classic power metal singer.

I agree with the Yngster - attitude is what counts.

Plus I think whoever bashed that chick for MUSICAL reasons, had already listened to soundsamples and found them disgusting.

That a female singer would replace little Timo is not really surprising, as Tolki has hinted it recently, but man, those pictures knocked me down for a minute! This really doesn't seem to square with Strato, but, eh, let's wait and see till she gets integrated into the band.

I'm listening to Aurora K samples and I can say that, even if I don't really like the music, I'm very much willing to give her a chance! After all, some singers really improved as soon as they got into the "right" band. Take Tim Owen right now, for example...

Tolki said that she has a wide range with her voice, I hope it's true, because she sang quite low in Aurora K... Very, very much lower that little Timo, at least. ;)

Have fun!

Um... tim owens is a horrible example. Am I the only one who realizes that he sucks for Iced Earth? He belongs in a priest band... he was GOOD with priest (though the songs were shit). bah.

Tolkki probably let his pants get in the way of his mind and I'm sure Miss K. obliged him readily to weasle her way into the band since yes her previous work has been quite poor IMO...anyone reminded of a kinda john and yoko situation here? :ill:

"We're taking stratovarius in a bold new direction" (track plays) "numbah 8 *Belch. numbah 8 *belch" :tickled:

All I'm saying is that I'm not gonna judge music I've never heard. But if you all like that philosophy, go ahead, do what works for you. :Smug:

ANDERS JOHANSSON Quits STRATOVARIUS - Jan. 22, 2004

Drummer Anders Johansson (HAMMERFALL) has officially left STRATOVARIUS less than a week after joining the group.

The following is STRATOVARIUS' leader Timo Tolkki's statement regarding the Anders' departure:

"[Anders] gave me a call and said that he doesn't want to join the band permanently and that he is happy to be in HAMMERFALL playing True Metal.

"Since I am looking for a permanent member, we agreed in good spirits to go separate ways.

"I am very disappointed that he didn't want to join STRATOVARIUS permanently, but at the same time I wish him and the HAMMERFALL guys well and best of luck with their career.

"I suspect that the decision of Anders has something to do with my reputation. I can understand him very well, I wouldn't join a band in which I would be playing in.

"I have already contacted a Finnish drummer and I hope I can announce his name very soon."

"In Metal, Timo Tolkki"

I haven't bought or listened the last 3 or 4 strato albums so I'm not really interested what they are doing nowadays, but regarding to the interview with tolkki miss k and kainulainen, they make themselves look like a big joke.

To anyone who said: "Give Miss K a chance". Would you have said the same if she replaced Russell Allen in Symphony X?

She might be a good singer - but that's not the point. As a band's fan I would not like my favourite band to change in this way. Imagine the Beatles had exchanged John Lennon for Yoko Ono. (Hmmm... in a way they did - you see what happened then).
