Alright people in the EST's:

Yom Kippur has just finished. I hope your all fasted the 25 hours in solemn reflection of all the terrible sins you committed throughout the past year. Whether it's heresy, necropedophelia, apathy or vanity (or all the above), start the year on a clean slate and try to better yourself for the sake of everyone else.

I personally just fasted for the health reasons and didn't give a shit about anything else, and ended up reading, listening to music, smoked cigarettes, and looked at porn throughout my day.

What did you do on Yom Kippur?

Well then let's see... I went to Carkeek Park and took pictures of the beach and sunset, then I walked to the grocery store and bought some foodstuffs, then I came home and smoked the bong and ate some jalapeño chips and drank a few beers while playing Oblivion. Then I randomly fainted and went to bed.

I saw the news earlier today, haha. You probably passed out from the awesomeness overdose of oblivion and beers and jalapeno chips. Just an educated guess, I'd say.

Today I didn't have one of my classes because the teacher was out today for the holiday so it's all fine by me, having an easy replacement assignment instead of 2 hour class = awesome.

There are no good health reasons for fasting. Your body needs energy that comes from food. Depriving your body of that energy is in no way good.

I find fasting once a year to be similar to a sort of enema for your digestive system. In those 25 hours, it probably managed to digest and eat up all of the leftover shit of what it doesn't usually have time to process before I would stuff more food down my throat on a daily basis...

That's good and all, but your body still needs energy, especially to break down fats. I think the best way to "cleanse" your body is to stop eating foods, but drink certain health shakes (or whatever they're called).

yeah yeah yeah, I love it how people "tell themselves" it's actually good for them, and really, they are doing it for the health benefits..!

Admit it: you're doing it because you're a jew.
