So I'm halfway through my second twirl of the Noltem demo, and I must admit it's thrown me somewhat. I'm not sure if I've got anything else that sounds like this in my collection. I'm not exactly thinking I need to run out and horde more crazy-whatever-you-call-this, but I am very curious...

Well, I like to think that there isn't anything that sounds like it :) Who knows, but let me tell you- I stand by my statement that my only musical influences (among MANY non-musical ones) are Vintersorg (the older stuff to a HUGE extent) and Agalloch to a much lesser extent.

edit: I'm actually really wondering what genre all of you would label Noltem with. I prefer to call it Atmospheric Folk/Pagan Metal. <shrug>

Hm, I wonder where my tape is right now... you did send one, right Marksw? Or did I misunderstand?

If you didn't recieve it, than I'm wondering where it is too.... I sent it out the same day as Ayeka's. Wait a couple days and let me know if nothing shows up!

Noltem has infected my mind. I keep thinking I'm making up cool bass stuff but then I realize, hey wait, this is just Noltem... :(

Agalloch was the only band that sprung to mind actually, but I didn't want to say anything cos I've only listened to Pale Folklore once and can barely remember any of it :p

I was a bit hesitant to use the Folk tag as well, cos I was thinking "well, just because it's got acoustic stuff doesn't automatically make it folk eh?". It doesn't seem to have a 'folky' vibe to it as such, y'know...

I think I'll be looking forward to that upcoming EP :p
