NON-METAL MIX?!

Just got back from the studio.

Here's a band that's not metal.

Any critiques would be awesome!

I like the singer alot! A bit faggy but I'm a sucker for faggy singers.

EDIT: and now when I've listened through most of it I can say is that I would like to hear more bass in the mix. Right now there isn't much happening in 60-120Hz. Could be nice to give it a boost there.

I also think there could be a bit more low end in the mix. Otherwise I thought it was very good.

That seems to be the consensus of all the boards I've posted on.

I only used stock plugs on logic, except psp vintage warmer 2 on the master track. I had to use amp designer because I forgot to update pod farms driver when I updated to snow leopard (read: fail) and I didn't want to go back home just do all that.

I've always heard that mixes are too bassy so I think I might have taken more out of the master than I should have. I only have 6"s in my monitors and I assumed they werent putting out as much bass as what was there.

P.S. Anyone catch the 808 in the verse? LOL. Their bass player has a system in his car, so I did that for him without him knowing about it.

Yeah... put some lowend back in... I'm digging it... singer sounds like he's heavily influenced by Tom Petty... and I'm really digging that!

Hmm, i know i say this allot, but you need some reverb on those vocals.. not much, just so they get a little bit more ambient.

And his vibrato reminds me of Michael Jacksons(Same goes for how his voice "distorts" when he pushes it".).
