After I master it and add all the effects how come when I save it as an mp3 or wav it still sounds the same as the original file? How do I save it so all the effects are applied.

I don't have WaveLab but I'd say you'd have to find a menu-button that lets you export the thing rather than just save it (which would most likely only save the session). hope that helps.

you need to use the "render" button towards the bottom of - damn, can't remember the name of the panel... but it's the one where you load effects in, has a meter bridge on it and a dither section at the bottom. It's above the dither bit.
