first off, big fan of the band, of course. now, has anyone heard rob's solo album, six arms? if so, i was wondering if anyone could recommend something similar to it.

You could try his 'follow-up':

On this record he re-recorded Café Supreme, and includes a lot more distortion riffs and stuff (so it's not as easy listening and mellow as Six Arms).
I can't think of anything more similar than that.
