NOV DOOM to play accoustically!

Yeah its cool, no need to drag this topic on and on in this regard, everyone has said what needs to be said about it. And I realise that when people like Will do stuff like yell "Black Rose..." at us, he's not trying to be mean or offensive towards us, just goofing. It's just the perceptions of certain other people at the show towards that which is the problem.....but anyhow, we're really looking forward to this acoustic show, we've got alot of work ahead of us now between this and the DVD shoot! If this goes well, then who knows, maybe we can try doing this Stateside someday, we'll see.

Honestly, I couldn't care less what "people" say. We'll do what we want, when we want, and as long as we're happy with the outcome, that's all that matters to me. If the fans accept it, even better! If some fanooks in journalism have issue, they can BLOW ME. :)
For what it's worth, my feelings exactly. Kind of reminds me of the Robin Trower issue, where he was considered the "new" Hendrix when Trower broke out on his own, and doing the "guitar techniques that Jimi was doing." Well, according to Robin, he had been doing those things long before Jimi was. For some reason, some artists get recognized and credit is given them, while others had been doing the same things and don't get noticed. I guess some "music journalists" in their confused minds thought ND sounded like Opeth, and hence the "clone" tag. This just confirms in my mind, some people do NOT LISTEN to musically what's being formed and created.

Just because I love to tease... The set will be about an hour or so, 11 songs so far, and at least 5 of them have never been played live before. Obviously the other songs will be versions never before heard, and yes, a couple are heavy versions re-imagined. This is going to be a lot of fun for us!

Ok, this is rude (just kidding Paul ;) ) Um, I am guessing us here in the states will have to wait until AFTER the show to know what y'all are playing? ND acoustic is just sick, yo!

ND is obviously ripping off Nirvana with this acoustic set.
And by Nirvana, I mean Donovan.
And by Donovan, I mean Robert Johnson.

Out of pure curiosity....what songs would you guys most love to hear done acoustically live by ND? We've already chosen the songs we're doing and all, so this isn't a voting process. I'm just curious to know what songs you guys would be most stoked to see/hear us play acoustically in a live setting, given the chance.

Wow, i just found this thread!
Three days ND in a row, can it get any better?!?:OMG:
First thing to do is to find out if there's any pre sale for this show. Anyone knows something more about tickets?

For Every Leaf That Falls
(If nothing for the opening guitar line alone)
Forever With Unopen Eye
Lost in a Day
(could be a cool rockin' acoustic number)

Then some of the obvious ones:
Silent Tomorrow
Twilight Innocense
Leaving This
Through a Child's Eyes
Autumn Reflection

I too thought of "If Forever"

gosh, I know, purely on logistics, that some of these are not possible, but:

Amour of the Harp
For every leaf the Falls
With Rue and Fire
Silent Tomorrow
Searching the Betrayal
Dark Fields for Brilliance
Lost
Broken
Torn (shit, hides from Pauls wrath)
Within My Flesh
...and EVERYTHING from TPHD and TNR

Well since it's already an acoustic song, there's a chance they might skip it and just focus on making other songs acoustic. Actually, now that you mention it, maybe they should make Twilight Innocence a heavy song for this set.
