I always think of the Heaven's Gate Cult when I see that band name....anyone else remember these goofs....

nope that was The People's Temple in Jonestown. With Jim Jones in the 70's. They moved hundreds of poor families to South America and created a small village. Heaven's Gate just was a small commune in california where everyone was too look non male / female and have no identity. They all did a mass suicide when the comet came because the ship in the tail of the comet was going to take them away. The Jonestown massacre has many theories to it...one Jim Jones actually killed them all and others believe now that there is a small Government cover up with it.
