The problem with gynoscopic (pronounced j-eye-no, not guy-no) processing is that it's really hard to get a firm connection between the cable from the reamp box and the woman's mouth. If you can get it seated, it can sometimes work, but it often requires a sedative. Usually the larynx and voicebox in a woman is working overtime compared to a man, so the mouth and jaw try to constantly form words and sentences even when you're trying to get some fucking work done, and you end up with dropouts and signal coloration that just does not sound good.

i hear that using a 57 off axis, about 3/4 inch deep really pronounces the presence. or if you're into the heavy stuff, try using an sm7b about one inch deep, you'll no longer need to add any plugs to tame the low end muddiness.
