After the relatively large letdowns of Children of Bodom's and In Flames' previous albums, I'm not quite so disappointed by the new ones! They've managed to not degrade their sound any further! I was expecting them to just go out and bang on a drum / table for 70 minutes while Alexi and Anders accompanied them on acoustic and plaintive, mewling vocals.
