Damnation and Deliverance are both quality releases, and Ghost Reveries is far from an embarrassment. If any other band put out this material, people would be peeling their potato over it. Metal fans are so damn fickle.

In truth, I think Colony is my LEAST fave of all IF albums leading up to Clayman. Sure, Clayman became more 'radio friendly' but it's hard to deny the catchy riffs.

I'll revisit Colony one day. I used to dislike Whoracle (thinking all things started and ended with TJR) but now I listen to it the most -- and "Gyroscope" is my fave IF song ever, easy.
