now you can be as cool as dodens and omni!

This new demo might be their best material yet. I wouldn't be surprised if people here wouldn't care for it, which is an indication of its quality. They're really coming into their own sound on this tape. As always, the strong songwriting far surpasses the at times rudimentary technical performances on display. I've already played it four times, and it's gotten better on each successive spin. Based on the two prior demos, I think their second full-length should be another step up from Triumphant Serenade.

And for the record, the band 100% supports tape trading, but opposes digital transfer. They are happy about people dubbing tapes for others to hear, but they don't want their music in the 'digital realm.'

Annnd this is seriously one of the more asinine things I've read, but either way it is a good demo for sure.

Tara ain't dead, was just thinking about me doing things to her and fell to coma for a month or so. Nothing much.

So, I was finally able to listen to this demo on my roommate's Fisher Price cassette player.

The music is great; very heavy, very epic. The vocals are great too, but I'm not too fond of the way they're layered over the music. Of course, that's to be expected from a band that's recording independently. Also, the vocalist doesn't always sound like he's singing to his full potential. It's clear he has an awesome voice, but sometimes it sounds like what he's singing is almost too easy.

In conclusion, I finally believe that this band is real (Nick, you can count me in the conspiracy with Matt). Also, I really enjoy this demo; I need to get more familiar with it.

I was unable to purchase this demo, but I will trade two rare Ichorous cassettes if someone wants to make me a copy.
