Realistically, the sharks wont win the comp this year, but I expect a top 8 finnish, and a GF next season. They have alot more depth in the team this year, especialliy in the backs. The team was named, and Paul Franze was left out of one of the centre spots. That says alot because I rate him highly as a centre. And we still have Vagana to return from injury!

Manly need better halves. They should chuck Walker in at halfback or 5/8. I reckon that is where he will end up mid season when they are struggling to score tries.

So I am gunna put 10 bucks on em, cos then get $1510. Which will be very nice.

I would have loved to have put $10 on Penrith at the start of last year, they finished last except for Souths then won the comp the next year. Astounding.

Exactly, Penrith were like 130-1 to win last year and look what happened.

But Manly doesnt have the greatest coach ever, John Lang, coaching them, thats the problem.

If you are so positive that they will win, you would be stupid to only put $10. You are sitting on an unclaimed fortune here. Whack all of your savings on them!

I think Manly will go close to making the 8, but I can't see it happening. The competition is so different to a coupla seasons ago. You could always bet that the 8 would consist of:

Brisbane
Bulldogs
Knights
Roosters
Sharks
Dragons
Parra

and 1 other surprise team

Now, all of those teams could make the 8, plus

Canberra
Storm
Tigers
Cowboys
Penrith
Warriors

So in my opinion, there are only 2 out of 15 teams that can't make the . Manly, and Souths. The even comp is due to salary cap. Makes for exciting season

That is true. They made the finals for something like 8 years in a row. Were minor premiors, and only ever made 1 GF appearence in sSuper League

I know, I liked the Sharks and would have liked to see them win, I think their board may have a lot to do with it, they seem to interfere a hell of a lot.

I am having so much trouble picking teams for the tipping competition this weekend...
