O/T: Baseball Strike Averted

modern baseball is a fucking sham, there is not a bit of fucking heart left in it, oh yeah ill settle for goddamn 19 million as opposed to 21 million, i may be 16 fucking years old, but ill be fucked if i dont know bull shit when i see bull shit.

Who cares? Baseball is still slow and boring, the economic structure still gives small market teams very little chance at being competitive for more than a couple of seasons (yeah, there are anomalies like the 2002 Twins, but lets see how long they can remain competitive), and tv ratings and the overall popularity of the game will continue to dwindle. People are no longer impressed by these retro stadiums, and there will be no homerun races to get people to come out to the parks. Good riddance to baseball, I say. I was kind of rooting for a strike and a major overhaul of the revenue sharing system and an implementation of a salary cap. But none of that happened. They just threw a deal together quickly because they knew the backlash from the few fans that baseball had left would have been too great had there been a work stoppage.

What is your take on all this strike bullshit? I was quite shocked there was an agreement. Anyways, I'm NOT down with Selig! He is an assclown!!

Yeah! Hey, The Brewers are my hometown and favorite team, aand as you may know, Selig was oour owner before he became commisioner. Anyway, he pushed for Milwaukee to pay for a new stadium for the Brewers, and in turn he promised us a winning team. Well, the Brewers are the worst team in baseball almost, and his daughetr, the new Brewers' owner, is hiding from the press!:yuk:
