O/T car shopping -

I see you are a Ford owner...

actually with 4 kids neither of those vehciles is going to work, i despise suv's unless you are in some remote ass location with a guarantee you NEED 4 wheel drive just to make the incline.

or if you are in a profession such as nursing that requires your are at work regardless of how much snow is on the ground....and you can't wait for a plow.

im keen on the Grand Caravans, they can handle the kid factor and i can load a full sheet of 8 foot plywood right in them with the seats out...and i load a lot of stuff regularly.

Well, if you have four children that's a very different story. I would look at a mini van of some sort or possibly a Darango? We were considering buying a Mini-van. I don't what kind though. I mean Dodge, Ford, and Chrystler makes a fine Mini-van.

I'm thinking of leasing a Ford. Something American. The way I figure is that I don't have to worry about it in it's old age. I just exchange it for a new one. <---if that were inserted in a personals ad as to what I'm looking for in a woman, I wouldn't change one word except "Amerian" to "young and blonde".. haha J/k. only i'm not

metal thrasher, I really like the Mustang and even the Fusion.

my family owns 2 mini vans (we traded a car for one, and I got stuck with the other). A Ford Windstar (98) and a Plymouth Grand Caravan Expresso (also 98). I suggest go find a Grand Caravan or something in the years of 98 to current. That van is very nice, and just plain better than the Ford. The only good thing about the Ford is, that i put in a kick ass system in it, other than that, I would rather push it off a steep cliff, or into a river, or better yet, crash it into some dudes house I dont like. I hate that thing. Stupid check engine light and brake light are on, and have been since my wife bought it 3 years ago! Ugh. And its ugly. If you want it, I will sell it for $1,000 but you have to come get it, and I keep the system. But I digress, I have a family of 6, four kids and me and the mrs. The Plymouth gets us around great, and is more comfortable than the Ford. But, if it were entirely up to me, we would be road tripping in a street/strip 71 Camaro. But its not.....:erk:

I will never buy American again except Saturn. Ford can die and burn

Just before our sone was born, my wife suggested to me that my Hyundai coupe 2dr wasn't very family practical (I think you call it the Tiburon or similar in the US), and that I should go out and buy a four day estate car for the family.

With that brief, I went out and bought a Subaru Impreza Turbo Awd estate car.

It's so fruit-loop crazy that now she won't let me put the child seat in it! Result!

The kids can take the Bus.

Fucking brats who drive around in big fucking Mitsubishi SUVs in the city. Hope they get cancer.

Arg i can't stand that....i drive a Suzuki Swift/Chevy Metro.

at 6 foot 3 i barely fit in it but i get great mileage, and it has 150000 miles and i still have the same brakes in the rear as it when it rolled off the factory line 5 years ago...
