I´m here Jan. the Russians, Czechs, the Swedes and Canada have good teams. None have been extraordinary.

I think it´s more fun to watch hockey now when they have more young, hungry players than the fat and tired stars who never care much about the WC anyway.

Our team is pretty good, except for the overrated Sedin-twins but I think this is the end. 5-3 to the Czechs. And then they will meet Canada in the final.

One thing I gotta say is there are no really weak teams anymore in The World Cup, Olympics, etc. It;s been like that for awhile in hockey, and it's been like that in basketball too over the past couple of years.
Johnnie, I think it's gonna be a Canada/Czech final. Although I wouldn't mind Canada playing Sweden so we can kick their ass for that comeback they pulled! It was a fluke I tells ya! We USUALLY manhandle those Swedes!

I agree. Canada's team is not nearly as good as the last World Cup team or Olympic team. Man I wish Mario was playing in this tournament! With the exception of Gretzky, I've never seen a more naturally gifted hockey player than Mario Lemieux! Especially Canada's defence isn't as good as it could be imo.

No need to remind me, my friend, I watched the game! I'm so hockey starved I've been watching old NHL games on ESPN classic! Nothing like seeing a Hartford Whalers/Quebec Nordiques playoff series from '88!

Right back at ya! It's ok! When guys like Chelios, Hull, Leetch, etc. retire, and the US team consistently loses to Germany you can root for Sweden permanently!

Yeah, but I doubt it. But there are some good players from the swedish elitserien who deserve a goldmedal like Jörgen Jönsson, Rhodin and Lunkan (he hasn´t been as good as he usually is, in the finals in elitserien he was like a fucking wall).

Yeah, but the game was much closer than it had to be. At 4-0, Canada figured the game was over, and went to sleep. We got a little lucky in the end (although it should have been 5-3 when the ref blew the offside call)

Ya I agree. I hate it when teams fall asleep with the lead. More often than not it comes back to haunt them. I'm glad Canada got the win! Did you see the Sweden/Czech Rep. game? Thankfully there's video replay or that woulda been one hell of a controversial play at the end!!!
