O/T Motorhead in GR, Michigan

I was supposed to see them with the Metal Masters tour last week but due to health problems, it didn't happen. Very bummed out.

vomit, if you are looking for a couple places to have a few beers and some eats before the show that are close by, then I'd suggest checking these places out.

Pretty decent brewery with really good beers and they are fairly inexpensive. Try the sampler...It's 6 8oz beers and they're cheap. It's good way to get a decent beer buzz without spending a load of money. This place is right by the entrance to where you will be pulling up to to get to the Orbit Room.

If you are not into brewery type places and just want like a beer and a pizza, then this place ain't half bad. It's really close to the Orbit Room also.

Also, don't bother going to the strip club next to the Orbit Room. It sucks.

Thanks for the info. I have had the sampler at GR Brewing (pretty good too!); I am checking out hotels near there so I don't have to drive far. Friday night I am going to crash at my cousin's place (he is currently in Iraq) but on Saturday I want to be near stuff so I don't have to be bagged up driving all over the place. Thanks for the tip on the strip club. My wife wants to go shopping Saturday afternoon, and I don't want to be at a titty bar that is not up to snuff.

Vomit:puke:

Motel 6 is cheap (about $45-50 dollar range) and across the road from the Orbit Room, and there is also a Residence Inn right across the parking lot from that one also, I believe - probably roomier and cleaner than Motel 6, and costs around 70-80 bucks a night. Both within stumbling distance to the Orbit Room. The thing with strip clubs in GR is that none of the girls are actually able to get naked because of a city ordinance and they have to be like 10-15 feet away from you or some shit. Grand Rapids is a pretty conservative city.

I'll be at the first date of their UK tour in November.

Looking forward to it, I've seen them on their last three tours. Great band.

Well I am not staying in the 6, but I think some other dump near by. It should be a classic!!!!!:puke::puke::puke::puke:

Bastard is a great album, except for "Don't Let Daddy Kiss Me". I can't stand that fucking song. The album would be damn near perfect without it!

I can't believe you don't like that song!!! If you read "White Line Fever" Lemmy says he wrote it for a female singer, but no one would touch it so he did it himself.

I like the song. I have a friend who feels exactly like you do, though.:puke:

He should have just kept it for another female singer down the road. This is the only song on the album that I skip everytime, and I'm not one to skip songs on cds. In fact, it's the only song on ANY Motorhead cd that I skip.

It does make more sense knowing that it was written for a woman though.

OK. Lemmy rules!!!

.....for a backstage pass to see Lemmy's warts! Could you imagine the fame, the glory, the coolness that would be mine!!! I would kidnap him and feed him bourbon, broads, and cigarettes, and hold the record industry hostage for ONE BILLION DOLLARS!

So can anyone help me with those back stage passes????:kickass:
