We're at the arse end of 2013... so what have your favourite albums this year been?

in no particular order, mine would have to be

1. Feared- Furor Incarnatus
2. Feared- Vinter
3. Alice In Chains- The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here

Honestly aside fomr those I haven't heard much this year that's blown me away

Although the possibility of new machine head, periphery and slipknot next year makes me happy happy happy

Have to say, I just listened to Vinter and it completely blew me away. I always liked Feared, but there's something gleefully brutal about it that really caught me offguard. I haven't heard a metal album that made me go "WHOA. SHIT." in a long time, and it definitely did it for me.

Only other thing I've really enjoyed this year was One of Us is the Killer by Dillinger, and Habitual Levitations by Intronaut, which I thought was excellent but went a little too far into noodly territory at times. Most of the bands I really love either broke up recently or are in-between albums and member lineup changes (see: Isis; Opeth; Acacia Strain).
