Nope... he sounds the same way live.
yeah he's the type of vocalist that just opens his mouth and the sound just flows out
kinda crazy, pretty sure he's using that melissa cross technique

Joey You said that you use POD but... do you used impulse?
the last questions is do you use too much eq after the pod or you just tweak the pod until sound good? thanks for your time
little eq mod's on the pod, and mix eq as well (on guitar tracks, and then on group)
not really a lot going on though, just small tweaks to make it fit the mix
He explain that in a thread wich is called For the producer of before their eyesWhat kind of eqing do you normally do on the pod itself? Like is there certain freq you like to cut or boost on the pod?
sorry one question more what about the bass? I mean do you use pod bass expansion or somenthing else. the lows on the song are too great

i dont use the pod for bass
i do something entirely different
i dont think i've shared that with anyone, but maybe, i dont remember
but you're on your own with bass =]
dudes just check his history, he has explained his settings countless times
yea, but so far i can tell, his techniques are constantly changing/adapting as well...
aside from using the POD
Yeah you have explained your whole bass chain in another thread]

he has always said that 4k is cut
a plugin called "preflex" on my UAD card
i particularly like the bass tone i did on the new prada record (not really noticeable on the song they have up, dez moines, but in other songs its really present)
we tracked the cd like it would be performed live minus a few extra guitar parts, but for the most part, chris is on the left and jeremy is on the right, and andy's dead center and pretty loud, just not on that song
but anyways, this was like the first time i didnt scoop the bass and im glad i didnt. something about the crappy behringer monitors i had forever made me want to eq scoop bass, and the adam a7's dont, so i dont eq escoop any more, and im really pleased with the result.
the preflex has a compressor, a pre-amp, and cab simulation. i turn the cab sim off, and i use the built in compressor/amp. i run bass directly in.
bass di->pre->preflex
set and forget =]
