I`m going to Amsterdam next week so I was wondering is there anyone who can fill me in about music, instrument and coffe shops...?

Coffee shops: my advice? find ones that are as far as you can get from the "center"
they over charge you for weed in those because they know that only tourists go to those coffee shops.
If you decide to take a trip around the cannels, a little far from the Dom Squere- then find one there and get your "things" there, you'll be surprised to see the difference in the price.

there is an area in amsterdam called: leidseplein
there you can find two cool metal bars:
One called: Black and White (has a huge Rolling stones logo on the front) Its on the square of this area, the second one is a but tricky to find and thats the best one: called "The Cave"
real metal all the time! (but they open at 8pm so be there after)
stand in the middle of the square, and look at all the streets that come out of there:
look for a Hagen Duzz ice cream store: go to that street up, then first turn- right and the Cave is like 6-7 meters on the street you just turned.
(just ask anyone there where is" The Cave" if you can't find it)
best metal store in Holland:
When you stand in the huge center of Dom Square: youll see the Madam Tusso museum, and the palace. go in the street that is as close to the palace as possible, and in front of the madam tusso- museum: (there is only one- I know my explanation is confusing- but when youll be there youll see that its very simple- because the street names are VERY confusing)
Anyhoo- go on that street- go all the way to the end of it (10 min walk) youll see on the corner a ct store, thats the one! Coolest metal cds ever! Second hand and first hand, I hope the cool tall, long haired blonde guy still works there- he is cool!

Btw: if you want cool clothes: the flea market is the place for you! Ask for it!

also: don't miss the tour at the Heiniken brewery. that beer tastes different in Holland than in the US (better in Holland of course) and the tour is fun! (very touristi, but hey, its still fun)

Don't forget to go to the boudisque too...It's an old school metal store with alot of metal-albumz..it's not to far from the store the Dead Lioness has told you about.. Ask for the street called the "Haringpakkerssteeg 10-18"
It fucking rulez..And i guess the store the DL mentioned is Fame-music they have a whole basement with metal..awesome too..
I am from Amsterdam, so i can give you an advice..just explore the whole fucking city, and make sure you hangout at The Leidsenplein or at the Rembrandtsplein at night...lot's of good bars..
And if you are looking for weed, there's a place called the bulldog, also at the Leidseplein..can't really miss..

So I`m back from Amsterdam.... and had a FUCKING GREAT TIME!!!!!!!!! :hotjump: :hotjump: :hotjump:
It totally rules in every aspect; shopping, metal scene, and coffe shops.
Dead_lioness thanks again for help, without you I would roam around Amsterdam without finding anything.
Demonic Legionare thanks for the tip for the Bulldog. It totally rules. On the firstday I came there I was rolling White Widow, my friend was rolling Silver Haze the other one was rolling some hassis, and the fourth one was putting Misty in pipe. When we started to lit up all our babies the guy at the bar put in the stereo song "I feel good"..... :Smokin: :Smokin:
Btw since the "Best of cd" topic is closed I`ll post this here, I bought it in Fame store and iz quite suprised me..... The playlist of the first cd is fucking great... When you listen to it it`s almost like you can predict what song is coming up next. The other thing that suprised me is that summery of the band history is way off better than of "The very best of..." To conclude; FUCK all you guys who think that it is ridiculos, Days of Darkness is good best of and I`m proud owner of it.
