hey everyone, this is a demo i've recorded for my band at the college I attend. The School has protools 8, 002 factory
interface, a mackie 16 channel board, shure drum mic kit, sm57/58's, AT4041 overheads, shure ksm27 and at4050 ldc's,
as well as a few other toys for us to practice with.
Drums:
were done with pg56a's on the toms, pg52 on the kick, sm57 on the snare (some complications with placement resulted in
the mic getting bumped and laying on the skin for half the recording XD), at4041's as L and R overheads, shure sm57
placed in the front of the kit about 12-15 inches above the toms, angled at the snare.
Guitars: Sm57 up on the grill, shure ksm27 about 2 feet back from the 57
Bass: D.I.
Vocals: one vocalist was with a shure ksm27 with an at 4050 back a few feet as a room mic, the other vocalist
used the same room mic but I also used another 4050 as his close mic
please give me any tips/suggestions you may have..they're much appreciated. thanks!
