If that's the forum moderator, then I'm glad he posted that. However, the fact that it took him until April 12th 2004 to make that post is ludicrous. I'm sure 90% of the people in that forum aren't even fans, and just go along for the ride to start troll wars.
Fucking CoB - do you think the band themselves realize that these "Hate Crew" fans are out there? I have to assume that this is NOT an official forum for the band, right? If I was the band's management, I would distance myself from that forum as much as possible. Perhaps even post something in the official CoB site claiming that there's no affiliation or something to that effect.

I just checked the COB forum for the first time as it seems to get so much attention here ... and I think 100% of those posts are trolls.
There is nothing funnier though than the Maudlin of the Well board ... there is like nothing on that forum that has to do with the band.

The motW/Kayo Dot forum is awesome, I lurk around there once a day or so just to laugh my ass off. The only band related stuff is when they do gigs and someone does a show report.

the Kayo people are easily the most beauteous and righteous people...they consider what the fans say, they respond, and are educated, so you don't tend to get lots of the immature posts many other boards seem to cultivate. Plus the music is entertaining AND challenging, a rare combination in metal.
One of my favorite boards, not just on UM but the entire internet.
It also helps to read the posts for a few days before forming an opinion, because once you know who is who, it all starts making more silly sense.

that's what I'm saying. with the Kayo board, you dip your toes slowly into the water, getting a feel for the mood and the temperature...then, as you begin to learn which names go with which personalities (and band members), you slowly immerse the rest of your body into the full experience.
