Perhaps, but Toby needlessly prolonged the argument by not explaining the thing about "that's how it would be reported in the papers" which is where the real argument lies. I just didn't follow his train of thought. All I was saying is that "lupine" would be a better term for "wolf-like", than "canine" which most everyone would naturally associate with "dog".
