So apparently I'm doing something wrong?

I've been using my Profire2626 to reamp lately.. I think it sounds absolutely fine...I hear no 'impedance' problems whatsoever... Is a reamp box REALLY going to make that much of a difference? Is it worth the extra money?

Like I said, I've heard no problems with using my profire as a reamper.. But if you guys have any clips of a typical interface vs. a reamp box and you sway my decision, I might have to go out and buy one..

I don't know for sure if you're gonna blow up something, but I would rather use a passive DI in reverse with some kind of XLR jack plug adaptor than to hook up an audio interface's output directly in my amp.
Maybe I'm just paranoid about blowing my amp head, tho:lol:

And I don't think you can "hear" an impedance mismatch that much. At least it doesn't really makes a difference with head/cabs combinaisons. You're gonna hear it when you transformer blow up, I think...

Uh... no... absolutely not gonna blow anything up.

NS, I'd say buy a Radial ProRMP from SweetWater as they have a full refund return policy and do free shipping on every order. If you don't see enough of a difference to warrant keeping it, return it and get your money back.

If you manage to blow up your amp's transformers by plugging an audio signal from your interface into it (excluding the situation that you might own some revolutionary interface that functions as a PA poweramp simultaneously), I will personally guarantee to make sure I'll treat you to a blowjob from a prostitute of your choice and post a picture here with your name tattooed on my left buttock.

I'll start working on it, then! Haven't had a prostitute BJ in a lonnnng time

You guys are right tho, I was still kinda drunk from hunting all day, you probably can't blow up anything, but the levels/input gain is not gonna match that of a regular guitar pick-up. That's kind of what a reamp box does.

Fuck, I hope this thing won't backfire on me

There's lots of great info about the whole impedance deal over here: http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/production-tips/373570-reamping-without-reamp-box.html
