Okay so I guess I got to...

Lover of all boobage.
Do a Fresh install of OSX :Smug::mad:

So I got oodles of exsternal HD space and only 40gb of system shit to backup. So basically what is the best way to do it? My drive came with a backup utility but I basically don't want to get fucked. My music and projects ett and other important shit is on another separate drive and backed up on DVD so not worried about that. Just looking to backup applications, if I have to I will re download drivers.

Should I copy down all the activation codes for plug ins? Will I have issues with challenge and response software. :erk:

That is the biggest issue that I am worried about it challenge and response stuff like DFH2 and pretty much every extra plug in from Pro Tools.

Also worried about losing the metal pack that I bought for my UX2 (that would suck ass).

Also: What should and what shouldn't I backup? This is basically serving 2 perposes:

1: To freshen up my computer (although it runs fine I just need to unfuck it a bit.

2: To get rid of the latest update witch was a bad idea. :erk:

That sucks man.. But don´t worry about the UX2 packs, they are associated with your hardware and not with the computer. I´ve moved my UX2 around a lot of computer and never had any problems (as long as you run monkey). I´ve had problems where Line 6 Monkey doesn´t recognize my hardware though... That´s a real pain in the ass!

Umm... there is this backup-tool "SuperDuper", that takes an image of your whole harddisk. It also works a bit different than the OSX Harddisk-Tool - I can't remember the exact differences ...
You can mount that image after re-installing OSX and copy your data to the "new" system.

Am I backing up everything or is there other shit I should backup?
