Oldest Heavy Metal Fan Ever?!

What is even cooler is not only does he like metal but he likes the classics as well. AND his wife of 60 years doesn't mind? Oh to be that lucky!!!!!!!!!!!! That will be Zod someday. And speaking of old heavy metal fans how come they didn't include J-Dubya or John C. from Nightmare?:goggly:

Every so often I see a very old, grandmotherly type woman at a show. I presume it's a bandmember's mother/grandmother, but I still think it's kinda neat. Sometimes it's a br00tal death metal show, which is even funnier :)

When my mom went to metal shows with me, people would walk up to her and say "You really like this music?" And she'd say "Yeah! I wouldn't go with my daughter to these shows if I didn't!" :D My mom is edging towards 70.

Cool, but I still think Mema has him beat:

She's almost 81, and not only does she listen to Metal she's been to the following shows since she was 75:
ProgPower USA VI, VII, VIII, IX, X. She will be at XI.
TSO- All shows since they started touring. Had to commute to Alabama and SC the years they skipped Atlanta.
Van Helsing's Curse- Flew to Las Vegas just for that show. (The pic is also posted on DeeSnyder.com)
Nightwish / Paradise Lost
Kamelot
Circle II Circle (Pathfinder show)
Aerosmith
Blind Guardian / Leaves' Eyes
Scorpions / Ratt
Epica / Blackguard
Battle of the Bands- Won by Eclipsed By Sanity
Several Pathfinder and pre-Pathfinder Hoyt shows.
And more.
Stop by and say "Hi" to the Grand Old lady of ProgPower in September.

Thanks for the mention. J-Dubya and I have already started talking about opening a METALHEAD Retirement home. hehehehehehe

Mena is one of the coolest metalheads around, and i hope I am still able to have her energy when I reach 81 years young.

Oh a little note on the Metalhead retirement center, you will be able to eat your meals in The Glenn Harveston Memorial Dining room. And do you laundry in the Claus Jensen laundry facility, you will be able to watch TV in the Lance King entertainment room, and so on and so on. Rooms will be named for artists and or bands. I am hoping for the Marco Heitala suite. Also there will be no Raccoons around.

I just hope when ProgPower LX comes around, that Glenn will have a "Buy 2 tickets, and your attendant comes free" special. I can see it now:

Attendent comes to Glenn with two cups while the Finnish band, "Shining Black" is on. Shining Black features the Grandchildren of Marco Hietala and Pecu Cinnari

Glenn:[cranky] Oh, dagnabbit, buzz off, will ya?
Attendant: Now, now, Mr. Harveston. If you do not take your medicine, you cannot stay for the show.
Glenn: [pissed] What do you mean? I put this show on, dagnabbit. I can stay here as long, as I want!
attendant adjust Glenn's blanket
Attendent: OK, Mr. Harveston, open wide.
Glenn opens mouth, and attendant puts the pills and water in it. Glenn swallows looking annoyed.

NO, i don't think I will outlast him, we will just name it for him, so that when he looses all his hair and teeth, he will have some place to go and be able to say "More jello please"
