Oldest Heavy Metal Fan Ever?!

Never will understand why so many people think a person can't like Heavy Metal once they "get older".His son said "I would have thought he would have gotten fed up with this type of music already." Why???? Why can't I like a genre till I'm dead without being told I need to grow up? Kudos to this man for not letting anyone, including his one track minded son derail him and change his own tastes.I'd buy him a ticket to Progpower if I could afford it!!!!!!

Exactly! I'll admit that my tastes have gotten a bit more sophisticated as I've gotten older. For example going from something like Quiet Riot and the like to now listening to things like Suspyre or Darkwater. However, that still does not mean that I'd like to crank up the Quiet Riot or Def Leppard every once in a while.

I've heard the "I've used to listen to that but I grew out of it" type comments all the time. So just what are "old people" supposed to be listening to anyway? When I get old, I hope I am rocking the "Gandalf" look with the long silver hair and still cranking it out to the heavy metal. Of course, who knows what the scene would be like in 40 years (by the time I reach that age I see here)

Rock on to the guy in the video and that "Mena" that I've seen there. Keep it strong and keep it metal, regardless how old you may be.

This guy is amazing....I can totally see me and dustro25 being that old couple in 50 yrs...haha....I know he'll still be rocking out to Iron Maiden....I remember going to a James Labrie show in NY and seeing two little old ladies with beers rocking out and I thought to myself hell yes!
