Oldest band which is still good? And oldest band member who is still good?

Celtic Frost have 2 great early/middle 80's albums. Lately people act like they have actually kicked ass from 1981 to now.

But it made no sense as answer to my post, that was just utterly random and had no revelence to this this thread. (I'm being honest, and I actually usually enjoy your posting)

I believe it's relevance there, buddy.

I'm picking up "Vanity/Nemesis" and "Monotheist" tomorrow, so I'll see about that. I haven't heard "Cold Lake" yet either, though it should be on the way.

Bands: Judas Priest, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Darkthrone, and Amorphis (although those last 2 don't exactly qualify as antiques).
Individual Musicians: Tony Iommi, Bruce Dickenson, Steve Vai, Dave Lombardo, and Paul Di'Anno

I think cold lake has thatr horrible hair metal song cherry orchids on it

 I have a VHS of them live at the Hammersmith, and I believe it was from that era. They did look like a glam band! Though I don't have "Cold Lake", the songs from it that I heard on the tape didn't sound bad to me. I'm listening to "Vanity/Nemesis" now and it is pretty good.

I don't know what Celtic Frost were thinking back then...they are the ugliest SOB's with the exception of Lemmy ... even with girlie makeup on they looked awful back then lol .... but my vote is Motorhead and Lemmy for the question of the thread... Deaf Forever!!! :kickass:
