I was at a local guitar store on saturday since they have local people just jam on the weekends there. One guy brought in some bagpipes and started jamming with a metal band, it was all impromptu but it sounded really really awesome.

So... basicly I'm wondering if there are any bands that do this that are any good? So far I've only found some really cheesy synth heavy bands that kinda do this.

Thanks in advance! :D

Not any emtal bands that I know of use bagpipes, but celtic and folkish bands tend to use a lot of other pipes, if you look into those..

I'm pretty sure In Flames plays the skin flute, that's a similar instrument...

I don't know bands that use bagpipes, but you could always listen to Finntroll, they use some weird instruments that I don't know the name.

Korn did it, but clearly they're shit.
AC/DC and Jehtro Tull have both done it to good effect though.
Being a proud Scotsman,I have to say I fucking hate the bagpipes.

Graveworm (Italy) have some bagpipes in their cover of "Fear of the Dark" (on "Scourge of Malice) and also have an instrumental on "Engraved in black"...

I only know of Absu.....but they don't really "use" them. Just an intro and outro on 'Tara.'

Finntroll that someone else was referring to uses the Accordian mainly, I think.
