Favorite Magazine: Revolver Magazine(with the internet, magazines are almost a thing of the past)

Your comment on the state of Rock/Metal: NU-Metal has finally hit the wall ladies & gentlemen. You get the same vibe that was going on toward the end of the grunge era. In the end there was just Alice in Chains, Soundgarden & Pearl Jam. At the end of NU Metal these bands will be the only ones standing: Godsmack, Korn & Disturbed. I couldn't tell you what will happen next(for sure), but I pray that there will be metal, there will be shredding & it will kick ass. You can Official say good bye to Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach & all these little bastids that wore out their welcome.

next big thing - Anthrax....hehe maybe they'll get famous THIS year?
most anticipated - PLEASE OH PLEASE ANYTHING by Van Halen! I'll even take Ed's bathroom fart tapes if possible, just put SOMETHING out!
Magazine - revolver or guitar world
State of music - I think metal is climbing back...i hope nu metal is out and that the guitar solo/hero returns! We can only hope. Lots of young kids are wearing MAIDEN shirts now in my town so maybe they're starting to discover the past the way we discovered Sabbath, etc. There's hope!

Well, I have NEVER heard Vio-Lence! I meant to check 'em out back in their day. Never did. And who is Imgaika(spelling)?

Ok. Vio-lence until recently had a website. Don't know if it's still there.
Vio-Lence reunited for the Chuck Billy Benefit in SF which was about 2
years ago? Vio-Lence's original Guitar players were Robb Flynn and
Phil Demmel. Robb was an original member of Forbidden. Have you
heard Forbidden? Forbidden and Vio-Lence are bands of LEGEND in the
Historic and Legenday SF Bay Area Metal Scene. The scene that includes
Exodus, Testament, Heathen,Death Angel, Vicious Rumors (not their new
material tho. :( ), Horde of Torment,& Laughing Dead to name some.
Robb left Vio-Lence and formed Machine Head. I'm sure you've heard of
them. The Vio site was www.violence.com and they recently re-issued their
classic Oppressing the Masses disc and included the subsequent EP Torture
Tactics. You can buy it on Amazon. Well Worth the cash! Recently Vio
was playing out and considering recording new material and then Robb
asked Phil Demmel to join Machine Head and record "Through the Empires
of Ashes" with them and tour with them. Phil's a great player. I still think
Machine Head could go back to their roots more and be heavier still.
I'm not saying ill of Robb Flynn though, he got over his rap-metal phase
and he's turning Machine Head back into the direction where everybody
know's where Robb's realest and most pure talent lies.

Imagika is a current band, with an old school metal influence. They just
got a new singer. Their site is www.imagikametal.com. They got skills.

Check em Out.

My 2 Cents.
