Haha. Revolution IS much better, but hey, no use in worrying about it now. Wii is what they have decided to name it, and the gameplay certainly won't be affected. But going on the E3 conferences delivered by Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, Nintendo obliterated them.

now... i don't know much about the Wii or whatever... but from my understanding, and what i've heard... Nitendo realizes is can't hang with Sony or Microsoft and is just aiming to make a much more affordable system.... but i might be completely wrong. like i said, i heard it from people, i didn't read anything on this system.

And yes... one of the only things PS3 has going for it is MGS4... BUT... there will be more... whereas XBox 360 didn't have SHIT when it came out... and still... i feel the only reason i would even play an XBox is for Halo... but not enough of a reason for me to get one...

MGS is quite possibly one of the FINEST series ever...

I don't think that that's the case at all. I've read several articles on all three systems and the Nintendo system is a lot more innovative and has HUGE potential.

They ARE planning on making the system more affordable, but mostly to developers. Part of the problem with their last two systems was that their medium was too expensive to produce games on, so many developers decided to go with Sony or Microsoft.

I also know that they are also considering stepping out of the "console race" so-to-speak in order to make the system the best that it can be (and also at a reasonable price). I, for one, think that that's a good thing. It's not that they can't "hang". It's that they don't want to rush the system (like the competition seems to be doing). That's why the Sony systems have been so buggy...they seem to be hell bent on releasing it in time for Christmas, lol. A lot of the technology involved in the Wii is completely new, so they want to be sure that it's perfected. I don't work for Nintendo or anything, so I can't really speak for them, but these have been my observations.

From all three conferences at E3, Nintendo's was the only one that seemed it was aimed at gamers, and it felt like they actually cared about making a gaming system that is enjoyable. Sony and Microsoft seemed like they only wanted a system that was enjoyable so they would win the console race. The Wii will not have OMGWTF graphics. It will have quality graphics, but not up to the pretty, glossy, spectacular graphics on 360 or PS3, but it has the potential to deliver one of the most unique gaming experiences ever. From what I saw, too, the games are not working on it as just a gimmick, but as an actual aspect to add new life to the routine gamers get into when playing a certain type of game. You'd have to just check out the Wii for yourself, I suggest going to IGN, but this isn't just a controller for the Wii; it's THE controller for the Wii. And Nintendo could push games past the point of being games, and into a new realm where they are separate realities.

I wish I could have gone to E3. That's would have been incredible! Nintendo has never been one of pushing pixels, but that's why I love 'em. They're more interested in coming up with something that's never been done before. While I'm sure the graphics on the Wii will be amazing, the revolutionary conrolling system and gameplay posibilities are what intrigues me. That's gonna be one freak'n crazy-ass system! Plus, they're considering having Smash Bros: Brawl a launch game. I'm a huge fan of the last two, so that's obviously an added bonus.

thanks for giving me this information... i'll have to check it out. and i agree with the other companies being pushy. Microsoft released the system before they had enough units for the craze... as far as i know, they're still catching up. so they screwed themselves, keeping themselves from selling since they didn't produce enough. and i think sony is too worried about being behind microsoft. which, in my eyes, i think sony should wait as long as they want. they're already a year behind microsoft, and personally... putting it out for christmas isn't as big of a deal as they make it seem. they should just wait, and try to release it at a better time, making sure everything comes out perfectly. they can't release early like microsoft did, or they're destined to fail.

I'm gonna be getting a Wii, mainly so that I can download and play all the old SNES classics on it

you can download lots of multiplatform classics on the Xbox live market place, yes you have to buy them.. but its like 3 bucks a game.

the MGS games always look great, right now, there is no release date for the PS3 yet, and already we have a couple worthy titles for it, MGS4, The Getaway, and a handfull of titles that are going to be multiplatformed. But there is still more time to get more titles out there before the launch. But you cant say that the 360 didnt have shit, they were the first ones to jump into the HD console gaming, they had the awesome new xbox live setup, and on launch they had the new Perfect Dark, Project Gothem 3, and some kick ass multiplatform titles like Need for Speed, Call of Duty 2 (which kicks so much ass)

Point being, you cant say that the Xbox didnt have shit, because it was the first one to bring the new HD graphics into the home console.

Wii! Bwahaha. This is a great sign. Mike is right, though. I may have already said it, but the 360 had a much better showing at E3 than the PS3. They both have some interesting titles coming out, but those for the 360 just look better. And no, I do NOT mean Halo 3. Fuck Halo. Up the ass.
